“At only 1.10 hectares, Champagne Thibaut Tassin is one of the smaller new debutants on the Champenois scene, but the estate’s first wines are decidedly impressive. Tassin and his partner Alizée Vanuxeem buy grapes from vines they farm organically themselves, with high canopies, but which still belong to Tassin’s father. Vinification is in used Burgundian 228-liter barrels, and the style is vinous but incisive, focusing on two very contrasting lieux-dits for now. I’m looking forward to following this project over the years to come.”
